Social media is abuzz with the Kash Villanz‘s video defending Dato Geethanjali G and him saying what is wrong if Geethanjali G, who, started out as an artist like him, to be minister? The video of Kash Villanz since has raised the ire and sarcasm from Malaysian Indians with many calling to boycott Kash Villainz on the basis of ‘naanga illena neenge ille.”
Kash Villanz gets the point fundamentally wrong – insults the average Malaysian Indian intelligence
1. Geethanjali G using her money.
Macha, first of all the fact that using her own money to help artists is not a big deal. That is the stepping stone to gain mileage among people like you and to realize her political ambitions. If she is sincere, she will help millions and still be in the background.
2. Both Kash Villanz and Geethanjali missed the woods for the trees
Kash Villainz, your entire speech is only focused on artists. How about the general public or the Indian society as a whole? You are displaying support where you know your ass is covered as an artist. You seem not to care about the average Malaysian Indian who is balled by a racist official system and plagued by social ills. Same goes to Geethanjali G. Her motives are so obvious – looking out for some perks from the top echelons. She isn’t vocal at all when it comes to women’s issues, being MyWomen president, no noise over single mothers, domestic violence, broken homes, school dropout rate, kids getting excellent results and not given scholarships and places in uni. No noise over social illness that plague Indians or Malaysians as a whole. No noise on Low Yat issue. Only defends Kak Ros and Ah Jib Gor. So, naturally, people are livid at her and now you for planta puseraning her.
3. Geethanjali G’s questionable worth to become the saviour of Mannin Mainthargal by becoming a minister
With the power and money that Geethanjali G has at the moment, she doesn’t need any other titles to further contribute to local artists. So, Kash Villanz ji, stop making it out as if Indian artists will die without Geethanjali G getting a position in the government. It’s like saying Datuk Lee Chong Wei or Nicol David should become ministers to protect Malaysian athletes. Please don’t mix politics into entertaiment. Finally, your speech also advocates that Geethanjali G is no different than other already existing politicians. You have conveniently highlighted that she is not doing more or less than these politicians. Tell me bro, why do we need another ‘no-different’ Indian politician? Should we allow another politician on the basis that she is going down the same path as others before her – therefore there is nothing wrong in it? You think we are dumb is it? Moreover, how sure are you that Geethanjali G will help artistes? Unggalekke planta pusitangge na epdi Kash Villainz?
Now for the hypocrisy of Malaysian Indians, getting angry at Kash Villanz sucking up to Geethanjali G
Now many Malaysian Indians are boiling over Kash Villainz’s defense of Geethanjali G, that she’s doing a favour for Malaysian Indian artistes. Many cite the plight of Tamil schools, school dropout rate, gangsterism and other factors that plague Malaysians are being ignored by the two.
Well, this is hypocrisy at its best. Now only you people bring the pressuring issues up, at the initiation of Kash Villainz, an artiste. Where were you people prior to this? Let me tell you, most of you serbu the Anti Senju Girls, whose admins are so ciplak, they put a Retamil meme I created as their profile pic, Vandi, Anti Senju Uderan Kes and Anti Hawtstuff pages to see half naked Minachis, condemn Minachi who drink and wear jannal veche jacket, Minachi kissing her bf, etc in your free time. All of a sudden, you people become white knights of the Indian community?? Pages dedicated to inform Indians in areas that matter like Malaysia Puthiya Talaimurai after 2 years also couldn’t get 2,000 likes. To get 2 shares also we mukkeran but Taliban Indian moral policing pages get 20,000 likes within 2 months and 200 shares – business chumma allum. Avlo support from Malaysian Indians.
I write about Tamil schools, financial management, education, warning articles on online investment plan scams, etc after conducting exhaustive research for the information and benefit of our community and those articles barely get 100 shares, what more comments and suggestions. I write about Indian girls’ virginity, 1000 shares, 100 comments. I feel like wanna cry.
I am neither supporting Geethanjali G nor Kash Villainz, and I think bringing up Geethanjali’s pics in bikini is totally unnecessary. If you want to condemn, condemn her sycophant ways and judge her motives, not resort to personal attack and ridicule her background – you are so perfect is it? When you have your priority in longkang, no amount of criticizing a sum of selfish Malaysian Indians is going to help uplift our community. Boycotting Mannin Mainthargal also won’t help. Our Mannin Mainthargal don’t have any clout in Malaysia. Get your priorities right throughout the year, not just 2 days show at a karuthu of an artiste.
Malaysian Indians making videos demanding Kash Villainz to apologize
If Kash Villainz says sorry, all the problems that plague Malaysian Indians would disappear? First quit being so focused on entertainment and artists, be it India or Malaysia. Treat entertainment as entertainment instead of taking entertainment so seriously. Kids from Tamil schools are winning international invention competitions but why no one made videos to congratulate them?
On another perspective, on Indian helping Indian, we first have to stay united – forge unity. If you boycott our Mannin Mainthargal, just because another Indian is kowtowing to Najib, then who’s going to support our Indians? Why rely so much on artistes and what they say? Did they say it in Parliament for us to take it so seriously, no. Opinions are like assholes – everyone has one, including me. Many are saying these guys making videos, reprimanding Kash Villainz and demand him to apologize as Indians who have ‘awakened’. Nope, the Indian community is still sleeping for they take what an artiste say so seriously but not learning about the man Abdul Kalam was and thinking how we can use his example to reform our community, for example. Of course because for most of us, Rajini, Vijay and everyone in between are thalaiva, thalapathy and thala. Nalla pannungge. Make an artiste a leader/minister/politician then moan that we don’t have capable leaders.
Kash Villanz has apologized, since and everyone got all soft at him. Ivelo naala unggalukku irukeruthu muthugu elumba ille rubber tunda nu oru doubt irunthuchi. Ippo doubt eh ille, unggelukku irukeruthu rubber tundu kude ille, lalang. Ippadi Najib mannipu keata, PR-14th ku avaneke vote podungga. Seerum sirapuma irukkum.
But Kash Villainz has potential to make a difference but he prefers to butter Geethanjali G
First of all, I don’t understand why Malaysian Indians give so much importance to artistes and what they say. When our politicians also failed us, you expect artistes to help us or even care about us? Malaysia is not India where artists are hailed to be political leaders. We are increasingly taking what artistes say too seriously till can create Facebook page for what they say and react as though our very lives depend on them. That is the very reason these artistes think they can become ministers and have power, because we take them seriously, not just as entertainment. This phenomenon is uniquely Indian. Alvin Tan and Namewee say a lot more controversial things but the Malaysian Chinese community don’t take them seriously. They laugh them off and go back to their development.
It is not like Kash Villanz said this in parliament, DUN, Dewan Rakyat or in white house. He said it sitting in his tempurung car. One girl told me this:
“The Indian community is like a mirror. Talk kindly and with sense and you’ll receive the same. Speak emotionally and with anger and you will receive the same in return. He picked the wrong battle.”
Oh, Indian community is like mirror uh? Why I don’t see the mirror reflecting light and awakening when we post about Tamil schools in dire need of help on Tamil Troll page? Go and see how much likes and shares get at the video of Tamil school begging for help as opposed to Kash Villanz’s insubstantial karuthu video and actors troll posts on the page. We post a variety of issues because if we only post beneficial stuff, oru ee kaaka kude etti paakathu. Ellatheleyum oru giligilippu, controversy venum. Illena etti kude paakamaatingge. Malaysian Indians should choose their battles. We more often than not, pick all the wrong battles then wonder why Malaysian Indians are the way they are. Because machas choose to battle with a fellow macha who main mata with them, not battle for Tamil schools.
I don’t understand again, why the Indian community rely on artistes to make a difference. It’s a dog eat dog world out there, especially in politics and entertainment industry – haven’t you heard of Havoc Brothers separation and conflict, Shaddy Danny issue? MIC’s internal power crisis is public knowledge. Still wanna rely so heavily on artistes? How many more examples we need before taking matters into our own hands like the Malaysian Chinese community? I know you will say I am Chinese balls carrier now. I’d rather compare stuff with better stuff than worse off stuff because that’s the way I will improve myself. Kash Villainz message is so empty and so useless but it’s garnering thousands of likes and comments and hundreds of comments. MIC power tussle, GST implementation, Low Yat issue, 1MDB, rising cost of living, falling value of ringgit, PR’s breakdown few Indians bother to debate or deliberate. Worse the Low Yar issue, many Malaysian Indians were like, ‘Not our problem.’ These are the worst kind of Malaysians. In my recent memory, the only time Indians united for the right cause and independently was during the Hidraf movement in 2007. After that, virtually 0. And, we all know the price we paid for that unity showdown. It’s a shame that Waythamoorty sold his soul to the known devil. Nowadays, Malaysian Indians are selling their damn souls to artistes and entertainment.
Now, on celebrities of the entertainment industry being role models for our Youth – the question below
“But the manner in which Kash Villainz chose to deliver this message is unbecoming of a Malaysian Indian artist who is supposed to be a role model for our youths. Frankly he has put many artists in a bad light.”
Don’t we have better role models than Kash villanz or Havoc brothers or Shaddy Danny? Why narrow down role models to artistes? Don’t we have other noteworthy Indians to look up to like Ambiga, Tony Fernandes, Irene Fernandez, Kasthuri Patto, Gobind Singh Deo, Vinod Sekhar or the recently departed Abdul Kalam? We are spoilt for choice. But, Indians are legendary for making all the wrong choices.
On threatening to boycott Kash Villainz. Because machas no talk serious.
We can either ignore these minions like Kash Villainz and Geethanjali G or make them superstars because bad publicity is good publicity. See how an apology from Kash Villainz made Indians who denigrated him now sympathize with him. Mannippu kekreven manushan, mannika terinjeven periya manushan. Appo Najib billions of dollars avanode account le pottathukaage mannipu keata that logic applies uh? Indians have a short memory – evident in the Hindraf issue. Solli vaaye moodale athukule kachi maaritangge nambe Indians. It’s only a matter of time before these same Indians who condemn Kash Villainz today go, “Neengeh super thale” at his next album release.
Reliance on others especially unfit people who can’t lead + no unity + short memory + screwed up priorities = recipe for disaster. The rot has set in. 10,000 Periyar vanthalum unggale thiruthe mudiyathu. When are Malaysian Indians are going to stir from their ignorant slumber and grow a backbone? By the looks of things, apparently never!
